The wide-angle lens is the single most important tool for underwater photography. In land photography, a wide-angle lens is typically used to capture landscapes and large objects. An underwater photographer, however, uses the wide-angle lens to get close. Due to the bad optical quality of water, it is imperative to get as close as you can to your target and reduce the water column between the lens and the subject. A wide-angle view will allow you to capture larger subjects whole, even from close proximity. Most lenses here have an M67 thread and will fit onto most current camera housings. Mike's Dive Cameras lens range includes AOI, Weefine and Nauticam lenses.
